Guild One Day Seminar, Edinburgh, Saturday. 20^th May 2023

Following the success of last year’s seminar, we are pleased to offer the chance to attend another one day seminar, details of which can be seen below. The aim is for as many of you as possible to attend, where you can exhibit specimens for the purpose of gaining standard credits (or just verbal feedback) and hopefully learn something from the speakers and their chosen subjects. It’s also a great opportunity for you to meet your fellow taxidermists in a social, light hearted atmosphere.

The cost will only be £25.00 per person , plus £12.50 for lunch if required. (You can specify dietary requirements when registering).

NEW CATEGORY

This year we are introducing a new category, where you can simply be given verbal feedback from one of the judges. We expect this to be popular, especially with novices and amateurs who feel their work is not yet of credit standard and would simply like some guidance on improving their work. There will be a booking system on the day to book a time slot for this with a judge. A good time for this would be if you were ok about missing part of a particular talk.

We hope not to restrict the numbers in this category, but reserve the right to if there is a very high number of entries.

Please note there are no competitions or higher credit judging at this event.

As we have a time restraint on the amount of specimens that can be judged, we reserve the right to limit the number of specimens for credit judging if necessary.

There is ample free car parking on the premises.

Note: The Guild reserves the right to refuse anyone admission. No reason need be given. The decision of the committee members present on the day is final.

While we will do our best to keep to the chosen topics, we may need to make changes if required.
